Take Off ... To The Great White North!

Eliza took her first official road trip last week. In true Richter family tradition, we packed up the car with way to many snacks, talked non-stop, stopped at few too many rest stops and took the scenic route through some small towns that have seen better days ...

And we ended up in Cooperstown, just in time for a new baseball season!


Along for the trip was cousin Matthew. He and Eliza paid homage to Big Ed's memories of the glory days of Ebbets Field:


Adriana was also with us for the adventure. Adriana and Eliza took in the sights of Main Street in Cooperstown (and enjoyed wedges of deep fried macaroni and cheese):


Adriana decided it was time to really understand the game of baseball:


Eliza tried to get an autograph from Babe Ruth:


We got to visit Cuba:

And we accepted the sad news that the Maid of Mist was ice bound in Lake Erie:

We saw true love when a man showed his girlfriend the Falls on Skype:


Everyone should see the Big Water. Eliza can cross it her bucket list (assuming five year olds have bucket lists).




Oh ... and don't ask us about the whole Canada thing :)
