Prematurity... Should It Be a Classification for Special Needs Services?
It is hard to fathom that in a couple of days Eliza will be ten. I look back on the past decade and and am amazed, and often baffled, how sh...

Tonight I tried to get Eliza to try pasta (for the 100th time). When she was presented with one of these: (not the three pieces featured in...

Eliza has "feeding issues." Why these are not called "eating issues" is beyond me. Every time I talk about "feeding...
Mine doesn't sleep through the night either. We call it '2 a.m. party time.' It lasts until 5 a.m. We take turns wearing ear plugs in case the pump goes off or he chokes from reflux at night. Such fun. I love how there is no solution to this either. No suggestions here. Just empathy.
ReplyDeleteJust think, when E and E are old enough to stay out, they'll be primed for Jouvert Jump Up at the Saba Carnival since it goes from midnight until dawn :)
ReplyDeleteMy older son didn't sleep through the night until he was 6 months old. My younger son didn't have a complete night's sleep until he was 8 months old. That means 420 nights of broken/little sleep for me. I now know that that is NOTHING. I cannot imagine the strength that you must have. You are an AMAZING mom! Absolutely amazing and inspirational!
ReplyDeleteLara: you are too kind.
ReplyDeleteI would have hoped that all this extra "awakeness" activity would have caused some extra calories to burn off, but no such luck for me.
I am hoping to celebrate night "60" before I get to my 60th birthday!
Wow! How do you stay awake through the day? Just wait till she gets older and you can tell her all the nights you went without sleep. I will sleep when I am older. We always have a guest in our room at 4 in the morning, and Brady is so inconsistent with his sleep schedule.
ReplyDeleteu r one of the moms I admire the most ,in fact i come here and check out Eliza's growth.
ReplyDeleteU need rest :)
